Hello, and welcome to It's a Fancy Schmancy Life! I am Valerie, a design and decor loving mom of two living in rural Nova Scotia. I am a big believer in making a home, that reflects who you are and lifts your spirits. For me, home is not about living somewhere that is too perfect to enjoy. Where is the fun in that? Your home should make you feel good and surround you with a warm hug when you walk through the door, regardless of the breakfast dishes still in the sink!
